Jeff Sears
RYT-200
A certified registered Hatha Yoga teacher with over 200 hours of training (RYT-200) with Rasika Yoga School (City Yoga of Columbia), Jeff began practicing yoga 15 years ago to help keep his body and mind in good physical condition while in recovery. After receiving the therapeutic benefits of yoga and becoming more grounded in all areas of his life, he was convinced that transformation through yoga is not only possible but also empowering and enjoyable.
Jeff believes that yoga is most beneficial when applied to practical, everyday life experiences. This philosophy means he presents his classes in a way that best serves his students and simplifies a seemingly complicated practice. He offers a challenging yet accessible yoga class that is infused with philosophy, breathing, anatomy and alignment. He is continually growing both as a teacher and a student. His training is ongoing and constantly evolving. His dedication and passion for yoga allows him to continually grow while sharing all of his knowledge and enthusiasm with his students.

300-hr Yoga Teacher Training
We are welcoming twelve, 200hr-certified yoga teachers on a journey of renewal and inspiration, both personally and professionally. This year-long training consists of monthly in-person weekend trainings, virtual online sessions every other week, and a 3-day exclusive retreat in the fall.
Led by Kim Dawes with White Lotus hOMe, this program is delivered with an immense love and vast experience of asana practice, an in-depth knowledge of the philosophy and ancient teachings of yoga, and an eagerness to share the many beautiful teachings of the ancient spirit of yoga to students with carry onward from the mat and beyond.
Over the course of a year, you will embark on a journey from head to heart. You'll be asked to deepen in your role as a yoga practitioner and teacher. By doing this and going within your own heart space, you gain wisdoms to share with your students in a way that helps them grow and evolve.
This journey reveals advanced teaching methodologies, yoga philosophy, the nuances of trauma and overall wellness. More than ever, people are in need of the ancient healing modalities of yoga, and this curriculum makes sure you graduate feeling confident in your gifts and abilities.
Throughout the year, you will have intimate sessions with your lead teachers Kim Dawes and Prem Sadasivananda. Kim will guide you through the weekends of advanced teacher content and host the special visiting instructors. Prem will educate you on the beauty of yoga philosophy in monthly Zoom sessions. Additionally, we have a team of visiting instructors who will share their knowledge during the weekend immersions and on zoom calls.
In September, we will conduct our 3-day teachers' retreat (place TBD). During the retreat we focus on embodying ancient yoga wisdoms in your daily life, connecting with nature, and uncovering your higher duty as a yoga teacher. As we learn to hold ourselves to a higher standard of teaching, we steward yoga forward in a way that is reverent and intentional.
We are incredibly experienced in holding space for others while providing you with ample tools to add to your yoga teacher toolbox. By year end, you will feel confident in addressing your students' physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs.
Although this is a hybrid training program (virtual & in-person) it is expected that you attend in-person whenever possible to gain the most from your experience and investment. The virtual Yoga wisdoms sessions with Prem are hosted through Zoom. Attendance is required as you will learn best in real time.
Upon graduation, students will meet the requirements to register as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500) with Yoga Alliance® (provided that their 200-hr training was also Yoga Alliance® approved).
