“Vini” in loosely translated Sanskrit means “adaption,” and that’s just what this practice is, adapting yoga to the individual. It teaches students to adapt traditional yoga practices to fit their needs, limits, and goals. Viniyoga is also for everyone and anyone, taking our dysfunctional movement patterns (we all have some that create stress on our bodies) and forming new structural and functional movements for our bodies. Because of personalized instruction it is one of the recommended styles for beginners.
There are a few points that characterize the main difference between the Viniyoga approach and most other forms of yoga poses practice mainly:
Breath and Adaptation
The emphasis on breath as the medium for movement in a pose, and the science of adapting the pattern of breathing in the pose to produce different effects.
Repetition and Stay
The use of repetition into and out of the postures, as well as holding the postures.
Every other Wednesday at 10:45 am (check schedule for dates)

This class is perfect for those seeking to relax and relieve anxiety. Perfect for a recovery day and perfect for those needing a little “me” time. Candlelight yoga is… well, it's exactly what it sounds like. You enjoy your regular yoga practice by candlelight. When you practice candlelight yoga, the intention is different than when you practice a more vigorous practice. This is practice is less athletic and more holistic, so you’re not going to break a sweat although you will be slightly challenged from time to time. Overall this practice focuses on stretching, movement and mindful breath, while the warm glow of the candles helps you to relax and prepares your body for sleep. In fact, you just might find that candlelight yoga earns you the best sleep of your life!
