This class is designed for those who have had some exposure to yoga, including an introduction to basic yoga poses and proper alignment. It is also for the students who would like to explore their practice and become more familiar with breath to movement sequences. This class is slower-paced and offers individualized guidance and appropriate options so the student feels motivated and committed to building a steady routine.

YOGA FOR THE 50+
This class is designed for those who have a good understanding of the basic yoga postures, and have begun to explore a wider variety of poses and styles. The intermediate student understands the relationship between breath and movement. This class is offered at a normal breath to movement pace so the student feels strong and energized.

YIN (STRETCH & RELAX YOGA )
YIN & FLOW
This class blends two styles of yoga into one practice - bringing together the benefits of breath to movement sequences and standing poses with a Relax Yoga practice providing the beginner students an opportunity and confidence to experience a short class of intermediate poses and measure the progress of their yoga journey.

This is an adaptable class allowing the students to experience gentler postures, breathing exercises, and meditation practices. The focus is on the needs of older beginning students, providing tips for moving comfortably into a pose, avoiding injury, and using helpful prop such as blocks, bolsters, blankets, and straps so the students feel confident and balanced.

“Vini” in loosely translated Sanskrit means “adaption,” and that’s just what this practice is, adapting yoga to the individual. It teaches students to adapt traditional yoga practices to fit their needs, limits, and goals. Viniyoga is also for everyone and anyone, taking our dysfunctional movement patterns (we all have some that create stress on our bodies) and forming new structural and functional movements for our bodies. Because of personalized instruction it is one of the recommended styles for beginners.
There are a few points that characterize the main difference between the Viniyoga approach and most other forms of yoga poses practice mainly:
Breath and Adaptation
The emphasis on breath as the medium for movement in a pose, and the science of adapting the pattern of breathing in the pose to produce different effects.
Repetition and Stay
The use of repetition into and out of the postures, as well as holding the postures.

SEASONED BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE
Candlelight yoga is… well, it's exactly what it sounds like. You enjoy your regular yoga practice by candlelight. When you practice candlelight yoga, the intention is different than when you practice a more vigorous practice. This is practice is less athletic and more holistic, so you’re not going to break a sweat although you will be slightly challenged from time to time. Overall this practice focuses on stretching, movement and mindful breath, while the warm glow of the candles helps you to relax and prepares your body for sleep. In fact, you just might find that candlelight yoga earns you the best sleep of your life!
